Sri Lanka Buddhist Delegation led by Ven. Banagala Upatissa Thero President Mahabodi Society, visited China on an invitiation extended by the Buudhist Association of China and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka . This program was coordinated by the Sri Lanka China Buddhist Friendship Association. Members of the delegation were, Ven. Prof. Medagampitiya Wijithadhamma Thero,Mr. Chathura jayasinghe Asst. Secretary Ministry of Buddhist Affairs ,Mr. Channa Kalugampitiya, Vice President Mahabodi Society, Mr Dilshan Jayasooriya Secretary General Mahabodi Society, Mr. Ajith Dharmawardena Vice President Sri Lanka China Buddhist Association, Professor Hao Wei Min Chairman Long Hua Institute.

High light of the discussions was the visit of Angarika Dharmapalathuma to China in 1918 .

Ven. Banagala Upatissa Thero  and Most.Ven.Xue Cheng P resident of the Buddhist Association of China discussed about the role played Angarika Dharmapalathuma to strengthen Buddhist relations between our two countries ;when Sri Lanka was under  Imperial control and China was a Republic Delegation led by ven. Banagala upatissa Thero president mabodi society,ven. Prof.. medagampitiya wijithadhamma Thero,mr. Chathura jayasinghe Asst. secretary ministry of Buddhist affairs ,mr. Channa kalugampitiya, Vice President mahabodi society, mr Dilshan Jayasooriya Secretary General mahabodi society, mr.
